Whether you already own a system or individual units and want them refurbished or you want to buy the vintage stereo system of your dreams from Classic Audio, you get the same high quality of products. Electrically, mechanically and cosmetically, these classic audio systems have been refurbished, often to a condition approaching new and sometimes even better than when they were produced 40, 50 or almost 60 years ago.<\/p>

The starting point is that each component or system was designed with the music of its time and the musical tastes of its audience in mind, and the aim is to return to the levels reached by the Beolab 5000, the Beomaster 4400 and the Beomaster 8000.<\/p>

Namely, after the refurbishment process, the performance of each unit is tested in a certification process focusing on the applicable parameters and presented graphically and in figures to the buyer. More than often, the performance of the refurbished units exceeds the values they had when new! Classic Audio has a large stock of spare parts and has developed methods to refurbish worn and broken parts. Your ordered device will be refurbished with original parts or parts that correspond to the original parts. Great care is taken to select these parts and match them together.<\/p>

The renovation work<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The process is as follows:<\/p>

Your unit, which you have ordered to be refurbished, will be examined by us and you will receive a final recommendation of what work needs to be done and what parts need to be replaced in order for your unit to be certified by Classic Audio.
Once we agree on the scope of the work, the unit is dismantled and the renovation starts. The mechanics are disassembled, checked, cleaned and reassembled. Defective parts are replaced.
Electronic circuit boards are replaced with new components and, if the boards are found to be damaged, they are replaced in their entirety. Signal and power cables are replaced. Lamps are replaced and the inside of the unit is thoroughly cleaned. Wooden panels and cabinets are renovated by our experienced cabinetmaker.
Painted chassis parts are cleaned and painted.
Panels, scales, buttons and knobs receive a lot of attention and are carefully cleaned or replaced. Some panels are anodized and reprinted, others are varnished.
The unit is reassembled and tested for inputs, outputs and operation of controls. Electrical settings are adjusted and checked. When the unit is assembled and found to work, the test procedure starts.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

During a programmed test process, your refurbished device is tested. All functions are checked and adjusted if necessary and a long-term test starts. For example, a Beomaster is tested for 500 hours, switching on and off. That's about three weeks!
Care is taken to check the functions of radio and amplifier circuits.

The certification process aims to create a basis for documenting the renovation of your particular device. Different methods are used depending on the type of device to be certified. A turntable or a tape recorder requires completely different methods than an amplifier or a loudspeaker. Classic Audio has methods, test equipment and computer programs to create clear and interpretable graphs and tables. The measured values are compared with the manufacturer's stated values and often the latter are exceeded. If the now finished products are to be shipped, freight is booked with the carrier chosen by the customer\u00a0preference.
<\/span>Products are secured for transportation according to the manufacturer's recommendations, wrapped in plastic and\u00a0<\/span>are packaged to avoid damage during transportation. Inner and outer cartons with cellular plastic between them and a strong outer casing made of multi-layer corrugated cardboard can withstand most conditions.
